The Dangerous Syllable

Teen is a dangerous syllable
It takes you out to twenty
And off to every countable
Smoothly till eternity
Slow down when you say
Lots of changes are on the way
Fragile" three" no longer exists
Beware, a new scheme persists
"Four" has put on a new prospect
Independent, so you should respect
Five changed a lot for sure
Don't you see it is mature?
"Six" added a new sense
Self-reliance can now commence
Hurray! Red Carpet to "Seven"
Social rank is being given
Don't you go away!  Let's wait
And like the new look of "eight"
"Nine" is reaching a destination
Aware of every single situation
Now the world is wide
You can go outside
Hany Fouad/Bahrain

teenager

There is nothing to say about
He is teenager he is kind
Sometime quite or unsatisfied
He has got wide-eyed

He is easy but grumpy
Want to laugh or being prickly
Not mad but active jolly
He is quaint and being dizzy

He is active and getting noisy
He is asking he is nosy

I AM A MAN

I am a man
I am not a child, mum
see my muscles
see my bones
I know what's good
I know what's bad
let me chose my friend
let me build my world
I am a man
I am a man
please understand
and stop giving demand

Proud I'm ... By Younes Jaradat

                      Proud I'm

         I'm so proud "I'm a teenager"
I'm so young but feel stronger
If I want in deed I can change the world
Confidence for me is not just a word

                Don't treat me down
                   I will be so frown
                     Do not fool me
Critically I think, you can see

Wait! Of course, I'm not like you, teacher!
As you know " I'm just a teenager."
I need your wisdom and sagacity
              To slow down my temerity.

I'm just a Teen

I'm just a Teen
By Maher Qabasi
TET Student
Jordan/ Aqaba

I'm just a teen
I'm not a man
I'm not a child
Do you understand

You see me unkempt
I think I'm polite

Looking all around
Making me so sad

No one can get me
Or even tried
They make me crazy
They make me mad

Mother, sister, brother and my dad
All are asking
Why doing this
Why doing that
All can see me thin or fat
Never take a look
To see me inside

I leave them there to see you here
The teacher sees me
slouched on my chair
He looks at my clothes
He looks at my hair
He thinks I'm lethargic
In fact I do care

Teens Pain in Life

Teens pain in life,
is not to die, but to be ignored

To lose the person you love so
much to another who doesn't care at all

Teens pain in life, is not to die, but to be forgotten

When you show someone your innermost thoughts

and he laughs in your face

For friends to always be too busy to console you when you need
someone to lift your spirits

When it seems like the only person who cares about you, is you

Life is full of pain, but does it ever get better?

Will people ever care about each other, and make time for those who are in need?
Each of us has a part to play
in this great play we call life

Each of us has a duty to mankind
to tell our friends we love them

If you do not care about your friends
you will not be punished

You will simply be ignored... forgotten... as you have done to others
