My Teen Poem

Teen Years

As parents, we are anxious for this teen stage to
  go by quickly, while our teens are hoping it will never end.
We hope that all the improper dress, tightly closed bedroom doors,
  and whispers loud enough for only another 13 year old to hear,
Will pass, without too much fanfare, but just enough for us to miss
   all the whispers, doors and dress that will be no more.

BEING A TEEN

Teens are quick and energetic,
Teens look eager to succeed everything.

Teens can be cheerful and willing,
Teens are always hilarious,
But not when the things get serious.

Teens like to be everything,
But sometimes get nothing!

Here they are
With questioning, sparkling eyes,
They are the ones with skeptic minds!
Depressed, rebellious, bored and  hard to satisfy sometimes
Though they are the ones waiting  to be enlightened by us.

Teens -- defiant, dogmatic, dynamic
Teens seem defiant yet always seek approval
Teens everywhere share a common ground

Teens like to be dogmatic around adults
But choose to be flexible around peers
Teens everywhere share a common ground

Teens look dynamic to be accepted
Teens look determined to be rejected

Teens need to be loved and valued

It's a hard job to be a teen...

It's a hard job to be a teen,

Being in such a chaos of your body and soul

It's hard to understand what life expects from me

and it's hard not to be understood by you all...

I might act immaturely

but believe me I try to grow

It's a hard job to be a teen,

first decisions, first love and first heartbreak

they all teach me what disappointment means.

Take me as an individual 

who waits for more respect.

That's what I need to find the courage

to do good deeds.

Hi everybody!
The second poem that I have here for you to have a look at is what I posted as a task while doing the one-month TET training course that has just been over. It is all about teens including five adjectives (the colorful ones) to describe teens with.

Dear Teens!

My dear teenaged students are

So CURIOUS to listen and to learn!

How prompt they all are

to speak, to answer out of their turn!

Some SHY cuties snigger

holding heads down with glittering eyes.

Some are so BOLD

to face any question and to make lots of tries.

So energetic, so happy they are

and dare to be NAUGHTY to show what exactly they are!

I do love their smartness

since I always want them to be ACTIVE. 

They have to go far ahead

and learn a lot making their efforts massive!

A Calendar Poem

Hello Dear,

Here I am with something simple and perhaps sweet especially for our teens, 'our wonderful saplings', for whom we are all committed to do a lot.  

Since the poem contains rhyme based on numbers from 1 to 10, I have named it 'A Calendar Poem'. I have composed it aiming at teens' creativity that we access teachers need to foster in one way or the other. I am hopeful you will like it!
